Rosa, praying for and with you. Although I haven't experienced the sort of physical difficulties that have been part of your life story, I have been just as disconnected from my body. We are all making friends at the same time, aren't we?

Rosa, I am happy to pray for you, but I want you to know how much your blog spoke to me also - - though I don't have the hurdle to jump because of surgery, my hurdle is weight loss, and sedentary lifestyle at home. Thank you for sharing.

I'm sure I speak for both of us when I say that we, too, have struggled with the fitness/self image/health issue before you. We have both found Pilates (both mat and machine) helpful. It is a discipline and like all disciplines, it requires some 20-odd successes before it becomes part of who you are and what you do. Give it time. It will be worth it.

The thing I'm so impressed by with Pilates is precisely how disciplined and careful it insists we have to be. Hard? Absolutely, but boy even after two sessions, it feels so good to know I am doing the work. Thx for the encouragement...
